As the COVID-19 epidemic continues, let us remember that homeless people are among the most vulnerable to the spread of the virus. Lack of adequate nutrition, a weakened immune system, and chronic health problems put homeless people at greater risk.
When you are homeless, you have limited access to clean facilities and you are not able to wash your hands several times a day. If you are infected, you have no home and isolating yourself is difficult.
People who are homeless or at risk of homelessness are extremely vulnerable during these times.
They have no way to "stock up" on extra food, toilet paper and medicine. Many have no choice but to access crowded and busy food banks and soup kitchens.
People living in poverty and homelessness in Montreal need you more than ever. During this pandemic period, Accueil Bonneau is there for them by continuing to offer a meal in the form of a lunch box every day, 7 days a week!
We are counting on people like you to support us in these challenging times.
